Grad : Students and Families

Do you know the steps you need to take to apply for college? Do you need money for college? The 12th Year Campaign can help you with two important steps you need to take to go to college, applying for college and financial aid. The first step is to file your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Washington Application for State Financial Aid (WASFA). You can do this at a College Goal Washington event. College Goal Washington is a free, on-site program that helps students and families complete their financial aid applications.

Set : GEAR UP Program

GEAR UP (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs) is a federally funded competitive grant program. There are ten GEAR UP programs in Washington State serving a combined 35,000 students in 73 school districts statewide.

GEAR UP programs work with educators across the state to help middle and high school students get ready for college. GEAR UP focuses on students from underserved schools, helping student and families to prepare for college and gain access to financial aid.

Ready : Help Your Students Continue Their Education

If you’re here, you know your students need to graduate high school and finish postsecondary education. It’s a daunting task, one for which you are not paid, but we know you want to help your students succeed. Ready Set Grad is here to help. With the right resources, your students can complete their high school requirements and pursue their dreams of a postsecondary education.

Some of your students need help to see themselves as future postsecondary students. All of your students need someone who believes in them.

Set : Preparing for Their Education

You are one of your students’ most important resources. Help them prepare for postsecondary life by discussing important grade-level benchmarks that set them up for success, by talking about the many college and vocational options available to them, and by helping plan campus visits.
