Grad : American College Application Campaign

American College Application Campaign: Removing College Application Barriers for Low-Income & First Generation Students

The goal of the month-long American College Application Campaign is to provide every graduating high school senior the opportunity to apply to college, with a deepened focus on supporting first-generation and low-income students, and other students who may not otherwise pursue a college education.

The American College Application Campaign will take place in Washington State from October through November. In participating schools, most events and activities will take place during the school day.

As part of a national effort, Washington's College Application Campaign provides resources for educators to use in order to plan and execute successful Application Month events. Our customizable tools include:

  • Participation Instructions
  • Site Coordinator Handbook
  • Site Coordinator Resource Guide
  • Student Handouts
  • Lesson Plans
  • College Knowledge Games and Activities

If your school is interested in participating in the campaign, please fill out this form and return to Christina Winstead at
